The Institution Of Mechanical Engineers (India) is one of the oldest professional institutions in India established in 1914 to promote, advance and update knowledge, business & practice of mechanical engineering professionals. Among the activities it conducts biannual examinations known as Technician Engineers Part-I & Part-II, Automobile Technician Engineers examination Part-I & Part-II, Production Technician Engineers Part-I & Part-II, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Technician Engineers Examination Part-I & Part-II and Section A & Section B of Associate Membership (also known as Chartered Engineers) Examination in Mechanical Engineering. The Institution is thus helping thousands of younger members of community working in engineering to obtain engineering qualification & also to advance their technical knowledge & enhance their engineering career but, who have been unfortunate in securing admission in regular Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges due to no fault of their through non formal system of education.

Recognition of Institution's Examination  Passing of Institution’s Technician Engineers examination is recognized by the Department of Education, in the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, at par with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from State polytechnic for appointments & promotions to subordinate posts in Central & State Governments, Public Sector undertakings etc. Passing of Section A & Section B of Associate membership (also known as Chartered Engineers) Examination is recognized by the Department of Education, in the Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India at par with a degree from Indian University for appointments & promotions to superior posts in Central & State Governments, Public Sector Undertaking, Corporations, Railways, etc. Passing of Section A & Section B of Associate Membership (also known as Chartered Engineers) Examination is recognized by many Universities, the five I.I.T.s & also Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for admission to Post Graduate courses, subject to passing GATE examination. These examinations are also recognized by U.P.S.C. for admission to Engineering Service Examination

3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Eligibility: 10th Pass or Equiv.
Duration: 3 years ( 6 Semesters )
Fee Structures
Admission Fee: 15,000/-
Semester Fee: 7,000/-  (Total 6 Semesters  6 X 7000 = 42,000/-)
Fees payable at the time of admission Rs.15,000 + Rs.7,000 = Rs.22,000/-
Total Fees payable = Rs.57,000/-
Examination Fees, IME Part-II Composite Fees, Project Report, Final Certificate & all other IME miscellaneous fees will be chargeable time to time to the candidates as extra. Semester Fees are payable at the beginning of each semester.

(Note: For all categories, Admission Fees once paid can’t be refunded in any circumstances. However, if the candidate leaves the course within 15 days of Admission, Semester Fees can be refunded after 25% deduction)
 
BIER, an Unit of JTC (P) Ltd. prepares the students sufficiently for IME (I) Examinations. Advisory Member of the Institute is corporate member of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India), Mumbai. Bharat Institute doesn’t award any certificates / results for Mechanical Engineering. All the admit cards, results, mark sheets, certificates will be awarded / issued by The Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Mumbai.

    Khabar.Last date of form submission up to 15th May:with late fine Rs.500/-, up to 30th May: with late fine Rs.1000/-
 
2) IMI result (Automobile Diploma Examination for December-2009 has been published. Sec-B qualified students are requested to submit their project report to the training department at the earliest to process their docs for final Diploma Certificate. Kindly Contact Registrar for more details, Ph:0657-6542696(REGISTRAR).
 
3) Placement Session is going on for Diploma 6th Semester Students.
    Students are advised to contact Training & Placement Officer at the earliest.
 
4) Last date of form fillup for IMI (Automobile)examination without fine is 8th May 10.
 
5) IME (Mechanical) examination form fillup for June-10 session will be closing
    shortly. Kindly contact at the Institute.
